The BAMBAM consortium is delighted to announce that it has successfully lighted-up its 4×4 pixels Test Vehicle!!!
Aledia’s microLEDs and X Display Company (XDC)’s drivers have been mass transferred on a glass substrate by X-Celeprint and Aledia and connected by the University of Stuttgart with printed silver microwire using XTPL cutting edge Ultra Precise Deposition. Barco connected the Test Vehicle to its test board and checked its functionality.
This is a major milestone for the consortium, as most technologies have been derisked. The consortium will now build on this success to move forward at µPackage level to process a 325µm packaged digital pixel with a color conversion done with Quantum Dot ink done by QustomDot and XTPL. Then, BamBam partners will build a 390µm fine pitch Active matrix µTile for the high end videowall market.
