Aledia
Aledia is a French SME based in Grenoble with more than 200 employees. It was created in 2011 as a spin-off of CEA-LETI. Its ambition is to revolutionize the display market with its unique 3D µLED technology. Aledia’s µLED are protected by 238 patent families. As compared to LCD and OLED, they offer an increased energy efficiency, a higher brightness, a better color quality, a higher dynamic range and a faster display switching speed. All at a competitive manufacturing cost.
Aledia complement its µLED with its Smartpixels concept, which places electronics inside each individual pixel. Aledia’s Smartpixels enable flexible, transparent displays with higher dynamic range, better image quality and lower cost than existing systems. To date, Aledia has filed 52 patents for Smartpixels.
